Turns Out the Northside Had One Thing in Common.
The 18 different neighborhoods that comprise Pittsburgh's Northside have a deep sense of pride - and a long legacy of bickering. It was critical to unite them if the Buhl Foundation's One Northside initiative to improve Northsiders quality of life was to succeed.
And that's just what we did.
How?
By focusing on the elements dear to all residents : improved education, employment opportunities, healthcare, safety, affordable housing and clean parks. Then uniting them under one banner to make a difference in these areas.

Educating Students and Supporting the Northside
Partnering with The Warhol Creative and its student creative program, we helped turn storytelling into community impact. The initiative gave young local talent the opportunity to concept and produce original video content celebrating the Northside, while grant funding from One Northside helped bring the work to life. The result was more than a campaign — it was a platform for emerging voices and a creative collaboration rooted in the community itself.
